Tyler is a Legal Director at Certum Group, where he sources and evaluates litigation finance and insurance opportunities from the country’s leading lawyers and claimholders. A former law clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Tyler combines global defense firm experience from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and plaintiff-side experience from Reid Collins & Tsai to identify and capitalize on high value litigations. 

Tyler is an honors graduate of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he served as a notes editor on the Northwestern Law Review, and New York University, where he served as president of his class. Tyler spent significant portions of his childhood in China and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

 In 2023 Tyler was selected by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” and his work on high-dollar plaintiff cases has been covered by the legal press.
